    Howe Sound

Howe Sound is a dramatic fjord carved by ancient glaciers, where steep coastal mountains plunge into deep blue waters. Stretching from West Vancouver to Squamish, it’s a place of striking contrasts with wild cliffs, forested slopes, and calm inlets that mirror the open sky. It’s one of British Columbia’s most beautiful natural sights, and you’ll enjoy unforgettable views from the Sea to Sky Highway and from the summit of the Sea to Sky Gondola.

    Sea to Sky Gondola

Just south of Squamish, the Sea to Sky Gondola lifts you on a 10-minute ride above the treetops, offering panoramic views of Howe Sound and surrounding peaks. At the summit, step onto the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, a 100-meter (328-foot) walkway suspended high above the valley, and explore scenic trails, try a guided Via Ferrata climbing route along granite cliffs, or unwind with yoga surrounded by fresh mountain air and sweeping views.

    Whister Village

Nestled in the Coast Mountains, Whistler Village is one of Canada’s most famous year-round mountain destinations. This pedestrian-only alpine village sits beneath the iconic peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb and is lined with art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. In winter, it’s a world-class ski resort drawing visitors from around the globe; in summer, it becomes a mountain biking mecca, with trails ridden by some of the best in the world.

    Shannon Falls

Shannon Falls Park is home to one of British Columbia’s most impressive natural features. Admire Shannon Falls, the third-tallest waterfall in the province, a 335-meter (1,105-foot) cascade that plunges through lush coastal rainforest before flowing into Howe Sound. With gentle trails, shaded benches, and towering old-growth trees, the park offers a peaceful pause in the heart of the wilderness.
