Tour Details:

The tour begins at the Fisherman’s Wharf sign located at the corner of Taylor Street and Jefferson Street, where guests meet their local driver-guide and set off on a guided sightseeing drive through some of San Francisco’s most iconic neighborhoods and scenic viewpoints. Traveling in a comfortable, climate-controlled minibus, the tour passes through areas such as North Beach (Little Italy), Chinatown, Nob Hill, Pacific Heights, the Presidio, and along the waterfront. Throughout the drive, your guide shares city history, film and television trivia, and local insight, with scenic photo opportunities along the way as the tour crosses the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County.

After crossing the bridge, the tour continues to Muir Woods National Monument, one of Northern California’s most treasured natural landmarks. Guests have up to 90 minutes to explore the redwood forest at their own pace, walking along well-maintained boardwalks and trails beneath towering coastal redwoods. The experience is flexible and unhurried, whether you prefer a short scenic stroll or a longer walk deeper into the grove.

Following the City and Muir Woods portion of the tour, guests on the morning departure have the option to end their tour in Sausalito, a charming waterfront town just across the bay from San Francisco. Known for its marina views, hillside homes, art galleries, and relaxed coastal atmosphere, Sausalito is an ideal place to slow down and enjoy the bay on your own schedule. Guests who choose this option can explore independently and return to San Francisco by ferry whenever they are ready. Afternoon tour departures return directly to the city.

Upgrade to The Famous Tour + Alcatraz and start your day with a 9:00 AM guided bus tour of San Francisco, visiting iconic spots like the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts, with photo stops along the way. After exploring the city, head to Muir Woods for a 90-minute self-guided walk among the redwoods. Then, enjoy a scenic drive through Sausalito before returning to San Francisco. In the afternoon, you'll be dropped off at Pier 33 for your Alcatraz ferry. Explore the historic Alcatraz prison with a self-guided audio tour, discovering the cellhouse and other key sites at your own pace.
