After arriving at the Upper Station, you’ll be greeted by stunning views from our outdoor boardwalk at an elevation of 2,263 metres (7,425 feet), plus opportunities to hike even higher atop the tundra trail network.

Adventure works up an appetite! Luckily, you have two chances to fuel up at the Jasper SkyTram.

The Summit Café at the Upper Station serves handhelds, poutines, soups and other comfort food favourites. Plus, our mountaintop bar means you can enjoy brews with unbeatable views.

Rockies Rangers

Complete activities, earn badges and explore the mountains with the Rockies Rangers!

Connect to a world of alpine adventure with Molly, the Jasper SkyTram's curious marmot. Take on challenges and fill out your field guide. Then join a special Rockies Rangers ceremony to earn your very own Molly badge.

Made for guests 16 and under, with field guides available for three age groups.

Snowshoe to the Summit

See Whistlers Mountain in all its winter glory. Snowshoe rentals are available in April and May (or as conditions allow) at the Upper Station for a 1.4-kilometre (0.87-mile) trek to the summit. Dress for the weather, strap on your snowshoes and hit the trail — you'll be rewarded with views of six mountain ranges, frozen lakes and a breathtaking aerial perspective of Jasper.

Hike the High Alpine

Choose your trail and step beyond the boardwalk. Set your course for the summit (1.4 kilometres away) to reach heights of 2,463 metres (8,081 feet) above sea level. Believe us — the view is well worth the climb.

See Jasper’s Wilder Side

Wildlife is abundant on Whistlers Mountain. During your visit, listen for the hoary marmot’s whistling alert call, watch for the white-tailed ptarmigan and have your cameras at the ready for ground squirrels, pikas and even the occasional mountain goat.

*Please note: We ask that all guests respect and help protect Jasper National Park’s beauty. Stay on trails, refrain from removing rocks or vegetation and always keep your distance from wildlife.

April 15 – May 15 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Last Ride up: 4:30 p.m.

May 16 – September 6 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.  Last Ride up: 8:30 p.m.

September 7 – October 26 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Last Ride up: 4:30 p.m.

*Tram departs every nine minutes. Last tram down departs the Upper Station 10 minutes prior to close.

Book in Advance

Soar up the mountainside at your ideal time by pre-booking. Select the Flight Up and Return Flight times that fit your itinerary, skip the line at the Lower Station and avoid disappointment during peak season.

Before You Book

• Due to the number of flight times per day, available times will be presented to you to choose after booking.
• Missed Flights: If you miss your flight time, we’ll do our best to rebook you based on availability but please note that missed flights are non-refundable.
• Arrival Time: Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled flight time to allow time for check-in and boarding preparation.
• Bringing a Stroller or Kid Carrier? If you’re planning to bring a stroller or backpack-style child carrier, please be sure to reserve a free ticket for it when booking. These items take up space in the tram and need to be counted toward capacity, even though there’s no additional charge.

• Please note that purchased tickets are non-refundable.

• Flight and Boardwalk - 1 hour
• Flight, Boardwalk and Summit Café - 1.5-2 hours
• Flight and Hike (1.4km) - 1.5-2 hours
• Flight, Hike (1.4km) and Summit Cafe - 2-3 hours
