    Frequently Asked Questions

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper just to drive myself through the park?

While driving yourself might seem easier, our tour offers several advantages. We handle all logistics, including park fees and navigation, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. Our expert guides provide insights you won't get on your own, and we know the best spots and times to visit, maximizing your experience in a limited time.

How is this tour different from the free ranger-led programs in the park?

Our tour offers a more comprehensive and personalized experience than ranger-led programs. We cover more ground, visiting multiple key sites in the park. Our guides are deeply knowledgeable about the park's geology, history, and ecology, offering a more in-depth experience tailored to our group's interests.

I'm not a morning person. Is it really worth getting up so early for this tour?

Well, ultimately that’s up to you! The early start allows you to experience the park in the best light for photography, cooler temperatures, and with fewer crowds. The stunning sunrise views over the red rock formations are truly unforgettable and, in our opinion, worth the early wake-up call.

Will I feel rushed to see the whole park in just 4 hours?

Our tour is carefully designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the park's highlights without feeling rushed. While we can't cover every inch of the park in 4 hours, our experienced guides know how to make the most of your time, ensuring you see the most iconic formations and viewpoints.

Is this tour suitable for children or will they get bored?

This tour is suitable for children aged 5 and up. Our guides are skilled at engaging visitors of all ages, making the geological and historical information accessible and exciting for kids. The short excursions and stunning visuals keep children engaged throughout the tour.

I'm not very physically fit. Will I be able to keep up with the group?

Our tour includes easy strolls rather than strenuous hikes, making it accessible for most fitness levels. The guides set a comfortable pace, and there are plenty of stops for photos and rest. However, if you find it challenging to walk up to 1/2 mile on a path that includes some steps and uneven ground, give us a call, and we may suggest an alternate experience.

What if I want to spend more time in a particular spot? Can we customize the tour?

While we have a set itinerary to ensure we cover the park's highlights, our guides try to be flexible when possible. However, for major customizations, you might want to consider a private tour option. We would be happy to arrange a private experience over the phone.

How close do we actually get to the arches?

Our tour provides excellent views of many of Arches National Park's most iconic formations. While we can't approach every arch due to time constraints, we do get close to several significant arches! You'll have opportunities for up-close views and photos of landmarks like Balanced Rock and even be able to stand directly under the magnificent Windows and Turrett arches. We'll stop at prime viewpoints for spectacular vistas of formations like Delicate Arch.

I'm an amateur photographer. Will I have enough time to get shots?

Yes, we factor in time for photography at key viewpoints. Our guides can even offer tips on the best angles and lighting for capturing the perfect shot.

What happens if the weather is bad? Do we still go on the tour?

Yes, our tours typically operate rain or shine but we may modify the itinerary for severe weather to ensure your safety. We'll contact you as soon as possible if any changes are necessary.

I'm concerned about the heat. How much of the tour is outdoors?

The tour balances time in our air-conditioned vehicle with outdoor exploration. The early morning start helps avoid the worst of the day's heat. Remember to bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.

Is there a bathroom break during the tour?

Yes, there are opportunities for bathroom breaks during the tour. We make stops at locations with restroom facilities to ensure your comfort throughout the experience.

I have dietary restrictions. Are the provided snacks suitable for everyone?

We offer a variety of snacks to accommodate common dietary restrictions. Please inform us of any specific dietary needs when booking, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks if you have any concerns.

What if I get sick on winding roads?

Our vehicles are comfortable and our drivers are experienced with the park's roads. If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend sitting near the front of the vehicle and bringing any personal remedies you typically use.

Will it be too crowded to enjoy the views or take good photos?

Our early morning departure helps us avoid the largest crowds. Your guide knows the best times and angles to visit each site for optimal viewing and photography. Depending on the day, it is possible that we encounter some crowds at certain sites.

I'm traveling solo. Will I feel out of place on a group tour?

Not at all! Our Arches National Park tours attract a diverse range of travelers, and solo travelers often find it's a great way to meet like-minded people while enjoying the park.

I'm on a tight schedule. What if the tour runs late?

Our tours are carefully timed to return as scheduled. In the rare event of a delay, we make every effort to communicate this to our guests.
