Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge (pass by)

Your journey south crosses the Colorado River on the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, one of the highest concrete arch bridges in the world, standing nearly 900 feet above the river beside Hoover Dam. From the elevated seating of the coach, keep your camera ready as your guide points out the engineering marvel below. This is a crossing, not a stop, and one of the great moments of the drive.

Mojave Desert (pass by)

The route winds through the Mojave, a landscape of ancient Joshua trees, volcanic rock, and wide-open desert plains that shifts by the mile.
